The Khan Clock Tower stands at the entrance of the legendary Pettah Market. Dating back to the early 20th century, the clock tower was established by a Paris family bearing the last name Khan. The Khan family were a part of several trades in Sri Lanka and were owners of various large-scale businesses, one of which was the Colombo Oil Mills.
