A famous mountain lying in the Swiss Plateau, Uetliberg is a mountain situated towards the northern terminal of the Albis chain, which is located in the canton of Zurich, Switzerland. Dating back to the first century, St. Peter's is the only baroque church in Zurich. It is known for its tower clock face which is the largest in the whole of Europe with a diameter of 8.7 metres. The five bells in the tower dating back to 1880 are also of prime importance with one of them weighing over 6000 kgs, without clappers.

Known to be one of the prominent places to visit in Zurich, the church tower was also used as a fire lookout point from the Middle Ages to the year 1911. An exquisite lake shore promenade, Bürkliplatz is a town square in Zurich canton of Switzerland. Located in the historic Alpenquai region near the sublime Lake Zurich, the Quay Bridge is also situated next to it which crosses the river Limmat at the outflow of Lake Zurich known as Quaianlagen.

Situated on the Zurichsee Lakeshore, Pavillon Le Corbusier is an architectural marvel and a Swiss art museum dedicated to renowned Swiss architect Le Corbusier. Corbusier wanted to showcase his best works in a building that he personally loved and since there was nothing around, he worked on designing the Pavillon himself in the 1960s.

Apart from the fact that it was the last structure he designed, what stands out is that the Pavillon was created with only steel and glass held together with 22,000 bolts, especially in an era when cement was a prime element of construction.

The UBS Polybahn funicular is a short railway journey connecting Zurich to Central Square. Zürich Hauptbahnhof which translates to  Zurich Main Station is the largest railway station in Switzerland. The rail services here include intra-city, intercity, as well as inter-country with trains running between Switzerland and neighbouring countries like Germany, France, Italy and Austria. The Chinese Garden is a beautiful, manicured temple garden in the Swiss city of Zurich. It is situated along the lake at the Zürichhorn and is frequented by locals and tourists alike. The Jesuit church, Lion monument, and the Chapel Bridge were so beautiful! On top of that, you also get to see the picturesque Lake of Four Cartons with its crystal clear water! If you wish to get a good look at the Alps in a single day trip, then this Zurich city tour is for you! The Thrillophilia sales team got me on board with their description of the trip. We saw the Swiss national museum, the Opera House, and even toured the Bahnhofstrasse shopping avenue, which has a plethora of items! And at the end then we took a ferry ride across Lake Zurich. The cable car takes you to Felsenegg- for the most stunning views of the Swiss Alps!

This is the perfect day trip to Zurich for someone who just wants to relax! It was the most scenic day trip to Switzerland for sure! I got to see the Opera House and National Museum and take in stunning views of the lake. The view of Zurich during the ferry ride and a view of the Alps at Felsenegg was awesome.
