This is yet another brilliant piece of Khmer style of architecture in Angkor, Cambodia. Baphuon Temple was constructed around the 11th century by King Udayadityavarman II. The temple served as the royal temple then.

Highlights
– Baphuon temple is a three-layered beautiful mountain temple and was part of the royal palace during the years of monarchical rule in Cambodia. Around 20th century, the temple started to get dilapidated and it was only during 2011 that the restoration of the temple was completed successfully after a whopping 51 years of dedicated effort.
