6. How to Get to Similan Islands From Phuket Areas

The first question that visitors have when planning a Thailand trip is how to get to Similan Islands. Depending on where you're coming from, there are several ways to get to the Similan Islands, including a flight, bus, taxi, shared minivan, and ferry. However, the final stage via all routes involve traveling by boat.

Tab Lamu Pier in Khao Lak is Thailand's most popular mainland pier for visiting the Similan Islands. There is also the option of traveling by sea from Phuket or Ranong, but this takes more time and money. A day trip from Phuket or Khao Lak, a liveaboard tour, or a cab or bus from Phuket bus station to Khao Lak followed by a boat are all options. Day trips from Phuket and Khao Lak to Similan take 45 minutes to three hours, depending on the type of boat.

For international visitors, the best route is to fly to Phuket, then to Khao Lak, followed by a boat ride. The answer to the question, ‘How to reach Similan Islands?’, may vary depending on the available time, budget, and location.

A beautiful piece of island standing Rock solid as if it's the admirer of every one else staring at him. The place is beautiful yet remote and hence it closes by evening and the island becomes completely out of reach.
