Taman Tasik Permaisuri

Spread over 40 hectares, it is a pleasant urban park with a scenic lake at its centre.

It also has a number of fountains and with pink lotus flowers and lilies surrounding the lake, this park doubles up as the perfect destination to have a family picnic. 

To enjoy scenic views of the lake, they also have four seating gazebos in the area. To sit and just chill, it is considered to be one of the best Kuala Lumpur parks.

Facilities and activities here include a futsal court, football pitch, children’s playground and jogging trails.

KL Forest Eco Park

The KL Forest eco park is renowned to be the only naturally occurring rainforest in Kuala Lumpur. 

Apart from acting as a green lung for the city, it is also home to countless small mammals and birds. This is what makes it comparatively more important than the rest of the Kuala Lumpur parks.

The most recent addition here is the canopy walk which can prove to be the perfect spot for an evening stroll with your family.

KLCC Park

Overlooking the iconic and remarkable Petronas Towers, it is a lush green urban park which has proven to be a perfect getaway from the urban hustle-bustle.

The man-made lake here called the Symphony is probably the best attraction that this park has on offer.

Perdana Botanical Garden

Established in 1888, the Perdana Botanical Garden is the oldest park in Kuala Lumpur and one of the greenest as well.

The Orchid gardens here is home to 800 species of orchid covering three varieties like epiphytic, climbing and terrestrial.

The bird park situated in the premises is renowned to be the world’s largest free-flight walk-in aviary which is spanned over a humongous area of 20-acre! If you are into bird watching, this has to be one of the best parks in Kuala Lumpur.

There’s also a deer park here which spans over 2-acre and has a wide variety of deers including mousedeer, fallow deer, axis deer and sambar deer.

Taman Bukit Jalil

Managed by Kuala Lumpur City Hall, this park is spread over an 80 acre site with facilities like a children’s playground, jogging trails, exercise stations and a reflexology path.

The international garden situated here is one of the best features as it has different zones representing 10 different countries.

It also has a dedicated area for people with disabilities, setting it apart from the rest of the Kuala Lumpur parks in this list.

Shah Alam Lake Garden

Located in the middle of the city centre of Shah Alam, this garden is built around a scenic man-made lake.

The lake has been divided into three sections, namely the east, the west and the central. All these sections are dotted by beautiful gardens that make it an ideal spot for family picnic and outing.

Bukit Kiara Park

It might be one of the best areas to live in Kuala Lumpur but for all the visitors, its lush greenery is one of the major highlights.

The Kiara Hill walk is a challenging 5km trail which leads up to some of the best scenic views that you can find in the whole of Kuala Lumpur.

The Central Park at Desa Park City

Taman Dusun Bandar

The name of the park translates to urban orchard park in English and that is its perfect description. 

As the name of the park suggests, it is home to over 1,900 species of fruit trees!
