Amusement and Water Parks in Hong Kong

1. Hong Kong Disneyland: Disneyland is easily the top name when it comes to amusement and water parks in Hong Kong. At Disneyland, you’ll find your favorite characters ambling down the streets, life size castles dominating the skyline and a host of interesting rides and attractions tailor made to thrill every adult and child alike. 

2. Ocean Park: At Ocean Park, entertainment comes together with wildlife attractions. One of the largest Hong Kong Amusement parks, Ocean Park is home to over 50 thrills and attractions, including a high velocity 4G rollercoaster. Apart from that, the Park also hosts a number of animal shows and interaction sessions, including a swim with the dolphins show.

3. Snoopy’s World: Sitting on the roof of New Town Plaza Mall, Snoopy’s World is one of the top Hong Kong amusement parks for children. The Park features several free thrills and attractions across 6 separate zones, most of which are suitable for younger children below the age of 10.

4. Noah’s Ark: A fun, educational amusement park, Noah’s Ark is a popular family attraction in Hong Kong. Education exhibits and interactive attractions offer an all-round experience here. The Park also houses a life size replica of the Biblical ark.

1. Grand Resort Deck, Galaxy Macau: Galaxy Macau’s Grand Resort Deck is one of the biggest and most popular of Hong Kong Water Parks. The Park proudly features the world’s largest rooftop wave pool, along with two white-sand beaches, a 150-meter-long lazy river and several slide towers.

2. Hong Kong Aqua-Bound Centre: The Hong Kong Aqua-Bound is one of the most inclusive Hong Kong water parks, in the truest sense of the world. Not only does the Park have its own set of thrills and attractions, but also offers guided watersport sessions on the adjacent beach. Parasailing, windsurfing, kayaking and paddleboarding are only some of the activities that one can try here.

3. Sha Chau and Lung Kwu Marine Park: The Sha Chau and Lung Kwu Marine Park is unlike any other water amusement park in Hong Kong. Apart from its own set of rides and attractions, the Marine Park also offers visitors the unique opportunity of witnessing Hong Kong’s native animal life in its natural habitat.

4. Core Aqua Park: Doubling as a market, the Core Aqua Park is one of the city’s most unique family attractions. Unlike other parks, the Aqua Park is inflatable- all the water-based rides here are built from inflated tubes. The rides feature a variety of obstacles that swimmers must overcome to reach the other end. The Park also features Hong Kong’s only Tower Cable experience.

1. Hyperspace Mountain: Formerly known simply as the Space Mountain Ride, the Hyperspace Mountain has now upgraded itself to incorporate a Star Wars storyline. The indoor roller coaster takes one through a series of tight loops and turns, dodging X Wings and Imperial Tie fighters as you hurtle on.

2. Mystic Manor: Unlike the Haunted Mansion ride, the Mystic Manor is a lighthearted attraction with a fantasy theme. The trackless ride tells the story of little Albert, who, upon opening a magical music box, makes all the artefacts in his uncle’s Manor come to life. With a combination of music, light and excellent storytelling technique, this trackless ride takes one across illuminated exhibits and galleries in the darkened Manor.

3. Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars: Best suited to adventure lovers, the Big Grizzly Mountain is a themed rollercoaster in Hong Kong Disneyland. Audio-animatronic bears add a sense of lifelikeness to the mountain tracks. The coaster also features a backward section, adding to its thrill value.

4. Paint the Night Parade: The Paint the Night Parade is Hong Kong Disneyland’s nightly light parade. Taking place each evening, the Parade displays a host of well decorated floats and Disney characters making their way across the park. Seats get filled quickly, so make sure you grab one about thirty minutes in advance.

1. Hellraiser: Suited for adventure lovers, Hellraiser is pure, unfiltered thrill. Although advertised as a rollercoaster, Hellraiser is much more than that- it is the amusement park’s only ‘bottomless’ ride, which means your legs keep dangling throughout the experience!

2. The Flash: Another extreme attraction tailored not for the faint hearted, the Flash is the park’s version of a pendulum ride. Reaching dizzying heights and at times holding the rider’s upside down, it is also Ocean Park’s ‘scariest’ ride.

3. The Mine Train: A thrilling coaster ride, The Mine Train comes with the added attraction of unparalleled views to the adjacent coast. The Train comes with a VR option- that is, one can choose to have a virtual reality experience, or simply ride it the traditional way.

4. The Waterfront Cable Car: A popular family attraction, the Waterfront Cable Car ambles slowly along the park length. Unhindered views of the sea, the sky and the surrounding hills make the cable car ride worth a try.
