  • End your tour after getting dropped at the airport and head for the airport.

Itinerary

  • Day 1 -

    Arrival at Paro International Airport

    Visit to Ta-Dzong, the National Museum

    Visit to Paro Rinpung Dzong, the ‘fortress of the heap of jewels and Kyichu Lhakhang monastery built in the 13th century.

  • Day 2 -

    Hike to Taktshang Goemba- Tiger's Nest Monastery

    Hike to Taktshang Gompa: Taktsang meaning the 'Tiger's Nest' is one of Bhutan's most venerated pilgrimage sites and a very popular site for all tourists visiting Bhutan.

    The spectacular four-hour walk will be your most overwhelming experience ever.

    Visit the ruins of Drugyel Dzong was built in 1646 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal to commemorate his victory over the Tibetans in 1644.

  • Day 3 -

    Trekking to Drukpath begins

    Today you will be starting with a short trek. The trek trail is rather gradual till the camp and if the weather is clear, the Paro Valley can be seen with the snow-capped mountains behind the valley.

  • Day 4 -

    Trekking from Jele Dzong - Jangchulakha

    Today you will be trekking 10km of amongst alpine forests and rhododendron trees

    Overnight in camps.

  • Day 5 -

    Trekking from Jangchulakha - Jimilangtso

    Today you will be trekking 11km of through mountain ridges.

    Camping at Lake Jimilangtso.

    These lakes are abundant in trout and you maybe able to catch one for dinner .

  • Day 6 -

    Trekking from Jimilangtso – Phajoding

    15km of trekking till the lake of Janetso.

    Overnight camping near Simkota lake.

  • Day 7 - Trekking from Phajoding - Thimphu

    8km of trekking through blue pine forests.

    Arrival at hotel in Thimphu for overnight stay

    Sightseeing in Thimphu

    Witness National Memorial Chorten, Changangkha Lhakhang and Tashichhodzong

  • Day 8 -

    Departure

    Get dropped at the airport for your departure.

    Depart for home.
