Omkareshwar

Out of the 12 Jyotirlingas in the world, Omkareshwar near Indore is one among those revered sites where devotees flock from all over India to worship. The grand Sabha Mandap of the temple is erected by 60 humongous stone pillars of 14 feet height.

The pillars have broad rings on each end and intricately carved forehead meditating figures. The five-storeyed temple has different deities on each floor and the river Narmada flows right next to the temple where pilgrims take bath and then enter the temple for praying with coconut and flowers.
