Mukti Hole Waterfall Trek
Mukti hole it comes under the belt of westren ghats of shimoga and offers a secluded and serene retreat if one wishes to get away from the hustle-bustle of city life and enjoy the splendour of the splash. Nestled in the forests of Western Ghats, this waterfall site provides an unforgettable experience. The water cascades in three stages, and the pond created by the falls is ideal for swimming. Near the falls is the ideal place for pitching camps. There are plenty of rocks in the area suitable for rock climbing adventure.
This enchanting waterfall is located in the midst of Kodagaddae forest, and a not so well-defined Trekking Trail leads to this destination. Initially, one has to trek uphill a mountain, and then trek down a steep hill to reach a valley on the other side. Walking along the valley for around 5 to 6 km will lead to Mukti hole
Alternatively, the trek can also be started from Dodda mane side via Kodigadde, and also there is an uphill trekking route to Medini village.
Exact Location: Mukti hole is located in the village of Hirebailu, nearly 15 km from Hadinabala.

How to Reach: Bangalore - Honnavar - Hirebailu - Mukti Hole Falls
Overnight buses from Bangalore to Honnavar are available. Mukti hole can be reached via two routes. The first route goes through Hirebailu and crosses Hadinbala, Gundabala and Kadehalla. The second route is from Kodigadde through Dodda mane. Hadinbala is on the Shimoga to Honnavar road while Dodda mane is on Shimoga to Kumta route.
