Located on the banks of the river Pichola, Bagore ki Haveli is an 18th century Haveli built by Amar Chand Badwa, the then Prime Minister of the Mewar Kingdom. A splendid assortment of palatial jhorakas, courtyards, halls and archways make the Haveli a sight to behold.

A part of the Haveli has now been converted into a Museum which remains open to the public. A variety of weapons, puppets, turbans and personal items belonging to the royal family are housed at this Museum.

 Having its name literally translate to “Garden of the Maidens”, Saheliyon ki Bari is a historical garden at the heart of Udaipur. The garden was initially built by Raja Rana Sanga of Mewar as a gift for his Queen and her many maidens. It’s name means ‘Pearl Hill’, Moti  Magri is a little hill looking over the Fateh Sagar Lake in Udaipur. The hillock is best known as the home to the famous Maharana Pratap Memorial Statue in Udaipur. Made entirely out of black marble, the statue shows the legendary king riding to battle in his favoured horse, Chetak. The hill is also known to command some of the best sunset views anywhere in Udaipur.

Built in the 8th century, the Eklingji Temple is one of the most striking historical places in Udaipur. The ancient temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, and is an important Shiva pilgrim spot in the country. A fantastic array of statues, carvings and other artwork flanks the temple on all sides.

The idol housed within the temple is 50-feet long and made entirely out of black marble. The Eklinga Murti is then surrounded by the idols of Goddess Parvati, Lord Ganesha and Lord Kartikay.

Haldighati

Haldighati is a mountain pass connecting Pali to Rajsamand. Its name literally means the “Valley of the Turmeric '', the beauty of the pass indeed derives from the striking yellow cliff sides that rise on either side of it.

The unique mountain past is best known as the seat of the historic Battle of Haldighati that had raged between Maharana Pratap and the Mughal forces in 1576. The mountain pass sports a memorial tribute to the king with a statue of Rana Pratap’s loyal horse, Chetak.

Pratap Gaurav Kendra

The Pratap Gaurav Kendra is a fine addition to the many historical places in Udaipur. It is a park built by the vision of Sangh Pracharak Sri Sohansingh, spanning an area of over 10 acres. The main attraction of the place is a humongous statue of Maharana Pratap, the erstwhile king of Mewar.

Apart from the statue itself, there are also numerous side attractions for the visitors to the Kendra: statue of Bharat Mata, statue of Swami Bhakt Chetak, statue of Meera Bai, nine temples of Bhakti Dham, galleries of projections and a water pond.

The Vintage and Classic Car Museum is one for the eccentrics and the core enthusiasts of cars and vintage automobiles. Owned by Arvind Singh Mewar, it is a symbol of Udaipur’s posh side of plush luxury and uncompromising authenticity.

We came to Delhi from Bangalore and then we explored Delhi for a day we went to see Qutub Minar, Red fort, Jantar Mantar and even tried street food which was so delicious, after that, we went to see the mesmerizing Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, After that we explored Jaipur and then we went to the city of lakes Udaipur, the city is so beautiful, the sunset was so alluring. We even explored the palace in Udaipur and even went shopping. It was a fun experience. The trip was well organized, the stay was comfortable, meals and transportation facility was also nice.
