One of the oldest temples in the state, Devi Talab Mandir is one of the most popular religious places to see in Jalandhar. The origins of the temple belong to the religious scriptures which say that the right breast of Devi Sati had fallen at the location of the temple. Over the years, many foreign invaders tried to capture this temple but they failed to do so.

The temple has deities of Lord Shiva and Goddess Kali which are over 200 years old. The temple organises the very popular Harivallabh Sangeet Sammelan in the month of December which is visited by many Goddess Kali followers.

Spread over an area of 72 acres, the Pushpa Gujral Science City is one of the popular tourist places in Jalandhar. A joint project of the Indian Central Government and Punjab Government, this place was built to invite enthusiasts to explore the various fields of life like science, agriculture, technology, engineering, human evolution and many more.

You can hang around the Pushpa Gujral Science City in the two packages:

1. A package with laser show, flight simulator, virtual 3D shows, Digital planetarium shows and much more.
2. A package with a flight simulator, virtual 3D shows, laser show, Digital planetarium, dome theatre film tour and much more.

Gurudwara Talhan Sahib Ji is located in a small village on the outskirts of Jalandhar named Talhan. It is one of the unique places to visit in Jalandhar because of the devotees who come here offer toy aeroplanes to the deity. The deity in this shrine is of Baba Nihal Singh who was a local in Talhan.

Baba helped his fellow villagers in various things and later years after his death, a shrine was built by Harnam Singh, one of his devotees. The story behind offering toy aeroplanes is that the devotees wish they could fly in an aeroplane someday. As per the temple authorities, around 50-60 planes are offered in a week.

Dedicated to the brave hearts of Punjab who lost their lives for India, Jang-e-Azadi memorial is built near the Jalandhar-Amritsar highway in the town of Kartarpur. Spread over an area of 25 acres, this mega project had risen to become one of the top places to visit in Jalandhar.

The dome-shaped architecture and the white pale ceilings are astonishing. Do not miss the 15-minute 3D movie in the AV hall of the Memorial where you can see the movie on India’s struggle for freedom.

Gandhi Stadium or B.S. Bedi stadium is the only cricket stadium in the city which hosted international matches. The stadium was built in 1955 and is one of the top places to see in Jalandhar. Gandhi Stadium has hosted 1 Test match and 3 One Day matches.

Today, it is a popular place among cricket enthusiasts who often visit the stadium. Due to the demolition and reconstruction of the various parts of the stadium, it has not hosted any international match in the last 20 years.

St. Mary’s Cathedral is the new church which was built between 1985-1990 replacing the old church which was built in 1847. St. Mary’s Cathedral is visited by many locals and  is one of the best places to visit in Jalandhar. Spread over an area of 3 acres around the Jalandhar Municipal Corporation, Nehru Park is the oldest park in the city. Before independence, it was known as ‘The Company Bagh’. Many locals visit this big park for long walks and jogging and it is one of the popular tourist places in Jalandhar.
