The city of Bageshwar is situated on the confluence of river Sarayu and Gomati in the state of Uttarakhand. The name of this city is derived from “Byagreshwar”. ‘Byagra’ means Tiger and ‘Ishwar’ means God. Every temple here has a tale to tell. One of the famous temples of Bageshwar is the Baijnath temple. The magnificent idols of Shiva and Parvati are the main attractions of this place.

As these treks are not simple, one has to be in good shape at all times. Apart from this, one can visit Nainital which is about 136 kms from here. It is the nearest railway station to Bageshwar. One can reach this place by road, rail and by air. The nearest airport is at Pantnagar which is about 180 kms away.
