07.30 : Pick up from major hotels in Bangkok downtown (exact pickup time will be confirmed by reservation)
07.40 : Depart by air-conditioned vehicle to Ayutthaya.
09.30 : Arrive at the Bang Pa-In Summer Palace, originally built by an Ayutthaya King in 17th Century. The site as it stands today, however, is largely the work of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V), who expanded the area into a Versaillesque garden filled with European-style buildin5gs at the end of 19th century. The Palace dates back to the reign of King Rama V, encircled by beautiful gardens and lake. The buildings within the compound represent a variety of Thai, Chinese, Italian and Victorian styles. Until today, the Royal Family sometimes uses the palace as a residence, receptions or banquets. former residence of Thai Kings from 17th Century. Bang Pa-In has a captivating collection of marvelous pavilions in a variety of Thai, Chinese, Italian and Victorian architectural styles.
10.30 : Visit Ayutthaya, a former capital of Thailand for over 400 years. See the glory and beauty of the city through its temple and palace ruins. This tour is a combination of the ruins and the remaining historical attractions.
Visit Wat Maha That – built before the Ayutthaya Period in 14th century or more than 600 years ago. It is believed that Wat Mahathat was the heart and soul of Ayutthaya people during that time. However, it was almost completely destroyed by the Burmese during the Thai-Burmese War.
Wat Yai Chaimongkol –a magnificent ancient royal monastery, more than a mere place of worship since the 13th Century. Its existence conveys a sense of the power of the Ayutthaya Kingdom, which once expanded in all directions. One of the outstanding features of this temple is the enormous Chedi or Pagoda built in dedication to King Naresuen, the Great to celebrate his victory over a Burmese leader in a combat on elephant back.
Afternoon Lunch (only for join tour) : After lunch carry on to visit Wat Phrasrisanphet, the Royal Temple and also the city's largest temple built in 14th Century and used as the royal temple-cum-palace by several kings and also visit its main Chapel, Viharn Phra Monkol Bopit. Next to it is the old Royal Place which however was destroyed by invaders.
16.00 : Arrive back to Bangkok and transfer to your hotel

Not many choose this tour but it's one of the best if you are interested in history. The guide spoke English, food was great . Pick up was done on time however it was a bit early, we got picked up at 6.30AM from hotel. Buddha head in tree is a must-see place.
