6 Days Bhutan Sightseeing And Trekking Tour Package

Itinerary

• Day 1 -

  Arrival in Paro and pick up and transfer to hotel

  Transfer to Thimphu valley and sightseeing at Memorial Chorten which is a Buddhist Stupa built in memory of the third king of Bhutan

  Visit to the National weaving center where there will be a good display of Bhutanese fabric and Tashicho Dzong which is the main fortress of Thimphu district and King’s Office

  Overnight in Thimphu

• Day 2 -

  Drive to Tango Base and hike to Tango Monastery for about 2 Hours

  The day will begin with a drive to Tango Base which is located in the northern part of Thimphu for a 2 hours hike to Tango monastery.

  Visit Takin Zoo which is a national preservation center for an endangered species called Takin.

  After sightseeing, free time in town for 1-2 hours and drop to Hotel.

  Overnight in Thimphu.

• Day 3 -

  Drive to Punakha Valley via Dochu La Pass

  Drive to Punakha valley which is situated at a lower altitude compared to Thimphu, therefore it is slightly warmer.

  After lunch there will be a small hike (20mins) to Chimmi Lhakhang which is a 14th century Buddhist temple.

  After the hike, visit Punakha Dzong which is the most beautiful fortress in Bhutan.

  Over night stay in Punakha valley.

• Day 4 -

  Drive to Paro valley for about 3-4 hours

  Drive to Paro valley which would take abour 3-4 hours.

  There will be small walk from the Fortress towards a traditional bridge. After that visit Kichu Lhakhang which is also one of the oldest Buddhist temple in Bhutan built in the 7th century by a Tibeten emperors named Songten Gyalpo.

  Drive to Hotel for a traditional cultural shows with mask dances and folk songs.

  Check in hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

• Day 5 -

  Drive to Taksang base camp for a 6-7 hours hike upwards to an ancient Buddhist temple popularly known as the Tiger’s nest temple

  After morning breakfast, drive to Taksang base camp for a 6-7 hours hike upwards to an ancient Buddhist temple popularly known as the Tiger’s nest temple.

  This would be one of the main highlight of this tour, as this temple is considered t be a wonder because it was built in a vertical cliff.

  Drive back to Hotel to refresh for a farmhouse visit for dinner.

  The farm house visit will be a good experience to know more about the culture of Bhutan and try traditional cuisine.

• Day 6 -

  Transfer to airport for departure Paro-BKK

  Get transferred to the airport and depart for home.

  End of tour.
