Langkawi Sightseeing Tours

On the western coast of Malaysia lies an archipelago of around 100 islands which is known as Langkawi. Taking a sightseeing tour in Langkawi is about exploring an array of islands on the Indian Ocean. Langkawi belongs to the state of Kedah which falls adjacent to the Malaysian border. Pulau Langkawi and Pulau Tuba are the only two inhabited islands here. An island hopping Langkawi sightseeing tour will traverse you around places like the Tasik Dayang Bunting, also known as the Pregnant Maiden Lake, the Beras Basah Island, also known as the Wet Rice Island and Pantai Cenang etc. Gunung Raya is the tallest mountain of the islands which is led by a narrow jungle trail, and the Telaga Tujuh waterfalls which means seven waterfalls with seven surrealistic pools. Both these natural attractions are present in almost every sightseeing tour in Langkawi.

Langkawi is a unique escape. Here at the Crocodile Adventureland, over 1000 crocodiles and alligators dwell inside. These can be traversed around by a rickshaw pulled by a crocodile! A fighting game between man and crocodile, which is rarely found anywhere in the world can be witnessed here. Langkawi is recognized by a giant eagle statue which is known as the Eagle Square and is a famous landmark. Langkawi has some of the best tropical islands in the world, dotted with gorgeous beaches of silky sand and cyan-blue sea waters which contribute in making a Langkawi sightseeing tour remarkably one of a kind experience! The undisturbed beaches of Langkawi such as the Pantai Cenang, Pantai Tengah, Tanjung Rhu, Pantai Kok, Pantai Pasir Hitam and Burau bay are some of the world’s most untouched beauties.

The islands of Langkawi are scattered with green-clad mountains suspended along the sea water. Kuah town is a perfect destination for shopping and Atma Alam Batik Art Village is a learning centre of the local art. Langkawi Underwater World is home to more than 4000 aquatic animals which is spread across an area of 6 acres and has various segments depending on the nature of the animals. You can witness stingrays, sharks, turtles, and groupers swimming inside the tunnel that surrounds you in one segment and various diversified birds in the Penguinarium tunnel. The Sky Trail and the Cable Car on the Mount Machinchang witness hordes of visitors every day. This cable car is claimed to be the steepest cable car in the world and it covers a journey of 450 M with three stops. The ride enables a top view of the scattered islands amid the blue water and drops at the green foothills of the mountain. Langkawi is also a paradise for bird watchers and you can see many exotic birds in your birdwatching tour here.

Be ready for the most spine-chilling part of the Langkawi sightseeing. Embark on a fishing adventure if you are planning to visit the villages on a river cruise in Mangrove forests. A boat ride to Tanjung Rhu River can take you to the hair-raising crocodile cave, intriguing eagle watching area, the fish farm, and the renowned UNESCO Geopark sites. You can also engage on a jungle trek in the densely covered and rich area of Datai Bay or can ride a jet ski through a thin ridge of limestone and traverse around the Dayang Bunting island with a tour of the Dayang Bunting Lake. If you have not been to an archipelago yet, you should know that from tropical sports to jungle treks and birdwatching; Archipelago like Langkawi is brimming with the abundance of options, all you have to do is set out on an exploration trip to these untouched islands!
