Overview

Chauragarh is the third most elevated peak in Pachmarhi and is a pilgrimage site with Lord Siva's sanctuary at the top.

There is a Fort there made by the King Sangram Shah of the Gond Dynasty. It is also exceptionally known for the beautiful Sunrise scenes. The sunrise scene here is stunning and climbing 1365 stages to achieve the point makes it all worth the effort.
During the celebration of Nagpanchami and Mahashivratri, enthusiasts and devotees arrive at Chauragarh sanctuary in huge numbers, hurling up enormous Trishuls as contributions which are kept in front of the sanctuary.

About the Activities:
The highlight of this activity is the beautiful trek to reach the temple and the experience of seeing the beauty of the nearby region from the very top of the hill. Along with that, photography, zip-lining, rock climbing etc can also be undertaken.

About the Stay:
25 Comfortable Camping Tents on double sharing basis, that come along with constructed as well as portable washrooms.
The Jungle camp has a camping capacity of more than 50 people.

How To Reach:
Chauragrh is the second highest peak of Pachmarhi region which lies in the Satpura National Park. You can reach this hill station by road from the nearest town of Pipariya, which is well connected to the rest of the state through roads. Pipariya also happens to be the nearest railway head, giving it extra connectivity from the rest of the cities of Madhya Pradesh. The nearest airport that you can find is in Bhopal, from where you can take road transport or a train to reach Pipariya.

Itinerary

  • Day 1 -

    8:00 AM: When you arrive at the adventure campsite, you will be greeted by our representatives and treated with a refreshing welcome drink and breakfast.

    9 AM: Briefing about the day's trek and will start marching.

    1:30 PM to 2:30 PM: Lunch will be served. Post lunch take 10 - 20 minutes of rest.

    2:50 PM to 4:30 PM: Get the flavor of the wilderness with a guided jungle trek in the lush green forest and valleys. The mountain streams tumble down the lofty slopes to offer ascent to falling cascades up and down the way.

    5:00 PM: Back to the adventure campsite. Relax and enjoy the surrounding environment of the campsite.

    6:00 PM: Tea will be served

    8:30 PM: Call off the day with a sumptuous dinner with light soothing music. Overnight at the campsite.

  • Day 2 -

    8:00 AM: Day two starts with morning breakfast and tea.

    9:00 AM: You will move to the adventure activity area where Zipline, Rock Climbing, Rappelling, ATV will be organized.

    1:30 PM - 2:00 PM: Lunch will be ready until the adventure games end. After this, you will move on with your return journey, bringing the experience to an end.
