Itinerary

• Day 1 -

  After arrival to Costa Rica a representative will be waiting for you at the Juan Santamaria International Airport and take you to your hotel in San José.

  During this transfer your guide will give you important information about Costa Rica and a briefing of your package.

  Overnight in San José. No Meals included.

• Day 2 -

  After breakfast, around 8 AM, you will be picked up at the reception of your hotel and you will be transferred to your hotel in Manuel Antonio.

  In the afternoon you will enjoy some leisure time to discover this beautiful area, relax at your hotel or visit Quepos town.

  If you would like to go on a tour today, there are some optional tours in this area that are recommended.

• Day 3 -

  Today you will visit Manuel Antonio National Park. As tiny as it may be, this 682-hectare national park gathers everything that tourists flock to Costa Rica to see: stunning beaches, a magnificent setting with islands offshore (bird sanctuaries for marine species), lush rainforest laced with a network of welcoming trails and wildlife galore.

  You are guaranteed close-up encounters with monkeys, sloths, coatimundis, and scarlet macaws. What a gem!

  In the afternoon, you will be transferred back to your hotel where you will be able to enjoy some free leisure time.

  Overnight in Manuel Antonio. Meals included: Breakfast

• Day 4 -

  After breakfast you will start your transfer to the south pacific area.

  This transfer has two sections, the first part is a land transfer from Manuel Antonio to Sierpe and the second part is a boat transfer from Sierpe to Drake Bay.

  After arrival to your hotel you are invited to to visit Drake Bay Town, a colorful place with very friendly people. Here you will have the chance to admire a rural town like the old times.

  TIP: Bring some cash with you because there is no ATM in this place and many stores don't accept credit cards.

  Overnight in Drake Bay. Meals included: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

• Day 5 -

  After breakfast you will visit Corcovado National Park, the wildest place of Costa Rica!

  You will visit San Pedrillo Station, located very close to Drake Bay, and if you are lucky during the boat transfer you might see dolphins.

  The bilingual naturalist guide will then lead a 3-hour hike through the primary and secondary forests, pointing out the extensive rainforest flora and fauna.

  The rich biological diversity of the Corcovado National Park is astounding, and sightings may include as many as 4 types of monkeys, as well as coatis, sloths, anteaters, and much more. Bird lovers will be enchanted by a wide variety of birds, including tanagers, flycatchers, kingfishers, manakins, trogons, crested guans, and spectacular scarlet macaws and toucans.

  Overnight in Drake Bay. Meals included: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

• Day 6 -

  After breakfast you will have the chance to visit one of the most important marine paradise of Costa Rica; Caño Island.

  You will have a boat transfer from the hotel to the island, and take some time to find whales or dolphins along the way.

  At Caño Island, enjoy a snorkeling tour with the company of a naturalist guide who will take you to the best spots.

  Aquatic life around the Caño Island is spectacular, and snorkelers will find a broad and colorful spectrum of Pacific Coast reef fish such as: triggerfish, needlefish, parrotfish, angelfish, puffers, grunts, barracudas among many others -- as well as rays, sea turtles and white tip reef sharks.

  Overnight in Drake Bay. Meals included: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

• Day 7 -

  After breakfast you will have your transfer back to San José.

  The first part is a boat transfer from Drake Bay to Sierpe, and in Sierpe you will take a shuttle back to your hotel in San José. This transfer takes 5 hours from Sierpe to San José.

  Overnight in San Jose. Meals included: Breakfast.

• Day 8 -

  After breakfast a representative will give you your private transfer to the Juan Santamaria International Airport.
