Overview

.About the Activity:

- The southernmost tip of the country lies somewhere near the town of Rameshwaram and is one of the most offbeat beach experiences in the country. This trip to Rameswaram, Dhanushkodi & Gulf of Mannar is a number of adventures packed into one.
- You will start by arriving at Pamban Island to catch a beautiful sunrise at the Pamban Bridge. From here, you leave for the ghost town of Dhanushkodi. 
- You then head towards your campsite in the small town of Sayalkudi, right next to the sea which is open for all the fun and frolic you can have.
- Located in Ramanathapuram district of Tamilnadu, this hidden gem of a beach offers breathtaking views of the Bay of Bengal where you can actually see the color of the sea change from shades of blue to turquoise during the course of the day.
- One could also spot Flamingos, seagulls, and a variety of other bird species. You will also go on a small hike to a beach with an interesting rock formation.

Minimum no. of people required: 10

Transport options:
1) Drive down to the campsite on your own. We will share the location with you.
2) You can also avail transport from us at an additional cost. 

Itinerary

  • Day 1 -

    Reach the Pamban Island at 5.00 AM & Watch Sunrise from the Pamban Bridge.

    Finish breakfast (on you) and proceed to the ghost town of Dhanushkodi. Explore the town. Visit the ruins and the beach.

    Start from Dhanushkodi at 11.30 AM & reach the Campsite at Sayalgudi by 2.00 PM. On the way, finish lunch (on you)

    Check-in & relax at the beach (The sea is open & you can always take a dip in the sea. Calmer Seas & lower salinity makes our Beach Camp spot a perfect sea bathing place)

    At 4.00 head for bird spotting & a lazy sunset walk along the beach.

    Return to the camp spot at 6.30, Pitch tent & check into your tents. Settle down for a magical Campfire under the stars, Beach Barbeque (additional cost) & Dinner.

    Count stars, take a stroll along the undisturbed beach and the night & the beach is all yours.

  • Day 2 -

    Wake up to a lazy Sunday morning tea and post breakfast jump into the sea for a refreshing dip till 1.00 PM.

    Finish lunch & Check out by 3.00 pm, bringing the experience to an end.

  • If cancellations are made within 0-15 days before the start date of the trip, 100% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

  • In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain trips or activities may get cancelled. In such cases operator will try their best to provide an alternate feasible. However a cash refund will not be applicable for the same.
