Overview

Surrounded by the pristine white snow, lush green mountains, Triund trek is one of the most beautiful trails in the Great Indian Himalayas. Its steady ups and downs, forest trails, and scenic views indulge the beginners, hence making it one of the most popular trekking trails in Himachal Pradesh. 

About the activity:
-Reach Mcleodgang which is the starting point of the trek. You would enjoy a beautiful walk through mixed forests of deodar, oak, and rhododendron.
-This trek is moderately easy and would take you to the scenic grassland of lush green grass and pastures that is Triund. During your trek, you can make a stop for lunch.
-Enjoy the beautiful views of Kangra valley on one side and the mighty Dhauladhar mountain range on the other
-Check into the camps and have dinner at the campsite (In case of Bad weather or Govt restriction, day trekking back to Dharamkot to reach the campsite).
-Spend the night amidst scenic views and a pleasant climate as you catch some much-needed sleep at the camp. 
-Get up early to enjoy the blissful sunrise and check out from camps after breakfast.
-Start your trek back to the base camp located at Mcleodganj which marks the end of your short but delightful Himalayan experience.

Note:
-From 23rd August to further updates, overnight stay will be provided 2 km below the Triund top due to restriction from Authorities.
-If the snow at the top of Triund is beyond the operator's control, the camping for the day will be organized in Dharamkot instead.
-Maximum 10 people are allowed to book this tour. 

Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Delhi to Dharamashala

    Get a transfer via Volvo from Delhi to Dharamashala in the evening

  • Day 2 - Mcleodganj to Triund (2875 metres / 9 KM / 4 Hours)

    Reach Mclodganj which is a starting point of the trek.

    This trek is moderately easy and would take you to the scenic grassland of lush green grass and pastures that is Triund. During your trek, you can make a stop for lunch.

    Triund is situated on a ridge with a beautiful view of the whole Kangra valley on one side and the Dhauladhar mountain range on the other.

    Check into the camps and have dinner at the campsite (In case of Bad weather or Govt restriction, Day trekking back to Dharamkot to reach the campsite)

    Spend the night in your camps.

  • Day 3 - Triund to Mcleodganj and Departure (9 KM / 3 Hours)

    Get up early to enjoy the blissful sunrise and check out from camps after breakfast.

    Start your trek back to the base camp located at Mcleodganj which marks the end of your short but delightful Himalayan experience.

    After your arrival at Dharamashala, you will be boarding an evening bus to take you back to Delhi

  • Day 4 - Delhi Arrival

    As you arrive in Delhi early in the Morning, the trip will come to an end

  • Rescheduling Policy - 30% of booking value will be charged as a rescheduling fee incase if the customer wants to reschedule their booking before 2 days of the date of travel. After or on date of travel booking will not be rescheduled.

  • Best time to camp at triund is after mid-march, in case of extreme weather and rainfall in months{mid May, June and Julyl} of a year day trek is provided and stay is provided in mcleodganj.

  • Any meals or transfers not mentioned in the itinerary are not included in the package cost

  • The management reserves all the right to modify the trek during any emergencies or natural calamities.

  • In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain trips or activities may get cancelled. In such cases operator will try their best to provide an alternate feasible. However a cash refund will not be applicable for the same.

    Loved it. Though timing of the trek was bad (it rained out of nowhere), and the condition became worse at the hill, the support from the staff was tremendous. Once in a lifetime experience during rains on Triund Trek. Quite frightening actually.
