A popular trekking destination, Triund serves a soothing trek to the travelers and can be one of the best offbeat celebrations for Christmas and New Year. Bid goodbye to the year 2019 while you adore the beauty of Dhauladhar Range on one side and Kangra Valley on the other.

About the Trek:
Home to many small hamlets and a stream, the trek possesses the ultimate beauty of nature. Treat your eyes with the panoramic views of nature on this new year's eve and welcome coming of the year 2020. Camping at a high summit allows you to gaze clear skies full of stars and bonfire with other trekkers proves to be cherry on the cake.

Forests of alpine and fir, Rhododendron and Oak awaits you at the trek and allows you to witness the rare flora and fauna of this region. In the farewell to the year 2019, relish the local cuisine of the region. This year it is time to do something different and escort the year 2020 with camping and trekking.

Stay:
The stay is in camps. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable. The tent will be on a sharing basis.

Meals:
Meals include breakfast and dinner. The meals are vegetarian.

How to Reach:
The site can be easily reached by means of public or private transport.

Maximum Altitude: 9,432 ft

Starting and Ending Point: Mcleodganj 

Note:
If the snow at the top of Triund is beyond the operator's control, the camping for the day will be organized in Dharamkot instead.

Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Mcleodganj to Triund (2875 meters / 9 KM / 4 Hours)

    Base Camp Mcleodganj Bus Stand reporting before 8:00 AM

    Start the trek to Triund

    Opt for an additional lunch, if required.

    Camps check-in, approx 2 km below Triund

    Dinner at the campsite

    Overnight stay in the camps.

  • Day 2 - Triund to Mcleodganj and Departure (9 KM / 3 Hours)

    Have breakfast and check-out.

    Tek back to the base camp located at Mcleodganj
