Itinerary

  • Day 1 -

    Miao

    The tour circuit begins from Margherita in Assam and the entry point to Arunachal is at Namchik.

    Today you will be going to visit Miao, the sub-divisional headquarters with splendid natural beauty of Noa-Dihing River and natural surroundings.

    A mini zoo where some important species of fauna are found is a major attraction here.

    The information about the inhabited resources of the state and the region is available at the forest museum.

    It has a wildlife library that has an excellent collection of books, documents and records on wildlife of the State.

    Also, visit The Tibetan Refugee Camp where colourful woollen carpets of various designs are produced.

  • Day 2 -

    Namdhapa National Park

    Namdhapa National Park is a tiger reserve sprawling across an area of 1985 sq.km. This is the only park in the country where you can spot four of the felines (tiger, the leopard, the snow leopard and clouded leopard). Bison, sambar, barking deer and a variety of snakes are the other inhabitants of the park.

    The Noa-Dihing River meanders through the forest has a rich variety of aquatic life. Another prominent attractive feature this park holds is that it covers a wide range of altitude from 200 meters to 4500 meters.

    The park also has a large variety of butterflies, over 150 timber species and some rare species of medicinal plants like Mishmi Teeta.
