This old English cottage is nestled in an acre of pure woods and offers 6 tastefully designed bedrooms, and a lot of common areas and gardens. Be it the Mackinnon's Study, Capt. Young's Dining Room, the Royale Gardens, Falconer's Lounge, the Catherine's- The Conservatory, or Pahari Wilson’s Cabin, each recreates the magic of the Colonial Era, blending seamlessly with modern amenities like cable TV, WiFi, wooden desks as workspaces, indoor fireplace, and more. This cottage ensures comfort at every corner!

About the rooms:
This wooden stay features 3 types of rooms:
- The two Deluxe Rooms  Col. Angelo's Room and Capt. Tailor's Room - can accommodate a maximum of 2 guests each. They open to a Lounge, a conservatory and a terrace, and are complete with old world furniture and decor, LED televisions in each room, tea/coffee maker with supplies, 24-hours solar heated water, electric heater, ensuite bathrooms and more.
- The two Log Cabins can accommodate a maximum of 5 guests each. These self-contained traditional American style cedar and pine cabins have split levels with the double bed being on the lower level and two single beds on the mezzanine. They also have a small kitchenette (with a fridge and a microwave), a study and a private patio/terrace, old world cabin furniture and decor, LED television, tea/coffee maker with supplies, 24-hours solar heated water, wood burning fireplace, ensuite bathrooms and more.
- The 3 Suite Rooms  Bedell Suite, Shaw Suite & Everest Suite - can accommodate a maximum of 3 guests each. These either overlook the Doon Valley or open up to a lounge, a conservatory and a terrace. These are complete with old world furniture and decor, LED televisions in each room, fire place in each room, tea/coffee maker with supplies, 24-hours solar heated water, ensuite bathrooms and more.

About meals:
Get ready to feel the freshness and distinct flavours of the meals here. Prepared using locally sourced ingredients they'll add a charm for sure to your holiday. While a hearty breakfast is included in the package, you can order lunch and dinner on an a-la-carte basis at an additional cost.

About activities:
- Check out the Ivy Cottage where Ruskin Bond wrote his famous stories
- As the sun sets, enjoy stargazing from the comfort of the cottage
- Vist the Char Dukan, a row of four historic shops, to enjoy delicacies like banana nutella pancakes, cinnamon waffles, and the delicious pan pizzas

Suggested Activities:
- A trip to the St Paul's, a colonial-era church, and Kellogg’s Church, with a marvellous gothic architecture with magnificent stained glass windows is a must
- Take a trip to Sir George Everest, a whitewashed home at the edge of a cliff that offers stupendous view of the Doon Valley
- Explore the area with hiking and trekking

- The retreat has increased the frequency of cleaning public areas (including the lobby, doorknobs, common washrooms, etc.)
- Hand gloves being used when carrying out cleaning work and when handling waste
- The rooms and the entire stay is deep cleaned before every check in and post every check out
- There are antibacterial hand sanitizers available throughout the property
- Social distancing is maintained
- Daily temperature monitoring of the staff

While the famous Camel's Back Road is only 4.3 KM from the cottage, Kempty Falls is merely 19 KM away. The nearest airport is Dehradun, around 58 KM from the accommodation. The drive till the stay is breathtaking!
