Surrounded by the mighty Himalayan Forests, this tea estate stay rests at the Himalayan foothills and is one of the highest organic tea gardens at an altitude of 6000 ft above sea level. The stay houses 5 rooms in the bungalow which are glass rooms and deluxe rooms. The stay offers guests to know more about Darjeeling's tea culture, history, community, and nature through a range of authentic experiences.
A guide will take the guest on a guided walking tour of the biggest tea gardens, meet with the community of tea pluckers, and one of the First Lady managers of a Darjeeling Tea Garden. They can share a cup of tea with them, put on the boots, strap on the cane baskets, and learn the delicate art of plucking tea. Then guests can walk through their 150-year-old heritage tea factory and learn about the various processes and machines used in making different kinds of tea. And lastly, end the tour by doing a tea tasting session with the in house tea master. Guests can also go on a cycling tour of the tea gardens instead of a walking tour with the group.
Later, at the stay, guests can just detach themselves from the world by finding a quiet corner to read in the glass library or sit by the fireplace and play a game of chess or watch a movie the old fashioned way-on a projector with friends/family. There also flows a river in the tea gardens. Guests can take a nature walk to the river and enjoy the cool breeze. And then guests can enjoy some delicious organic native cuisine and organic teas, spend the evening by an open bonfire and call it a day.
How to reach:
The stay is in one of the highest and most remote organic tea gardens in Darjeeling and it is 2.5 hours journey from Bagdogra airport and 3 hours from NJP railway station by road. Guests can reach the stay using a hired taxi.
