The place is perfect for those seeking adventure. For outdoor enthusiasts, a guided hike to the Living Root bridge is something not to be missed which is a living Marvel. The trek starts from a small village Riwai very close to Mawlynnong. Only found in this part of the country, the living root bridge is the result of innovation by the Khasi tribals. These wonderful structures have meticulously grown over a period of time and are among the biggest attractions in Meghalaya.

In the evening guests can explore the beautiful Mawlyynong village which is also referred to as ‘God’s own garden’ as this village has won the acclaim of being the cleanest village in Asia in 2003.
The village also offers a sight of natural balancing rock, a strange natural the phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another rock, and some bamboo brackets made to climb up high to see the view around along with the Bangladesh border. Later, enjoy a peaceful bonfire and doze off in the utter silence.

How to reach:
The stay is around 77 km from Shillong. A private car/cab would be the best mode of transportation to reach the stay.
