Situated at the foothill of KEDIU TSÜKERÜ (Khonoma) one of the highest mountains in Nagaland, this treehouse offers the breathtaking views at the cloud line and overlooks a beautiful valley covered in thick forest with spectacular scenery. The treehouse is actually made of bamboo and rope and is set against a sprawling, big tree. It offers a single room to rejuvenate & refresh oneself guarantying a serene and peaceful holiday.
While staying here guests can go on a guided village walk to Dzuleke village which is special because, in a highly traditional and religious culture, the elders of Dzuleke decided to ban all hunting since 1999 to ensure that the wildlife in the area would be conserved. If one is lucky, he/she can get a glimpse of the Stump-tailed Macaque, Barking Deer and the Mountain Bamboo Partridge, and the Blythe’s Tragopan (the state bird), which is found only in Nagaland. Here guests can also learn about the Naga culture, their hospitality, and the culinary routines and take it back to their world.
Apart from the village walk guests can also hike up to the Khonoma village or enjoy high altitude fishing. The hosts will help you get acquainted with the techniques to a good catch and you can relish that hard-earned meal for dinner. Later, enjoy the evening with a bonfire and barbeque in the fire with friends or family.
How to reach:
