About the Tour:

- Beginning from Guwahati, the tour then takes you the cities of Shillong and Cherrapunji, with the inclusion of short visits to the villages of Mawllynnong and Dawki.

- You will be covering attractions like the Kamakhya Temple, Umananda Temple, Umiam Lake, Ward's Lake, Lady Hydari Park, Don Bosco Museum, Nohkalikai Falls, Mawsmai Caves, and the Umngot River.

- At the end, you will be taken back to Guwahati where the experience will come to an end as you board your return flight.

Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Arrival in Guwahati | Transfer to Shillong

    As you arrive at the airport/railway station in Guwahati, our representatives will begin your tour by taking you to the beautiful Kamakhya Temple and Umananda Temple.

    After this, you will be transferred to Shillong, en route which, you will stop by at the largest manmade lake in North East, Umiam Lake.

    Arrive in Shillong and check-in to the hotel.

    Overnight at Shillong.

  • Day 2 - Shillong Local Sightseeing

    After breakfast at the hotel, you will start the sightseeing tour of Shillong.

    On this day, you will visit attractions like The Cathedral, Ward’s Lake, Lady Hydari Park, Don Bosco Museum, and Police Bazar.

    You will have the rest of the evening at your leisure.

    Overnight at Shillong.

  • Day 3 - Shillong to Cherrapunji | Sightseeing in Cherrapunji

    After breakfast in Shillong, you will be taking a transfer to the second wettest place on earth, and probably the most beautiful one, Cherrapunji.

    On this day, you will visit various amazing attractions Elephant falls, the Shillong Peak (the highest point in Meghalaya), Nohkalikai Falls (the fourth highest falls in the world), Mawsmai Cave, Dainthlen Falls, and Krem Falls.

    Overnight at Cherrapunji.

  • Day 4 - Cherrapunji - Mawllynnong - Shillong

    After breakfast this morning, you will go to see the cleanest village in Asia, Mawllynnong. A walk through the scenic village is a must when here, and one such walk will take you to the amazing Living Root Bridges of Meghalaya, making for an amazing way to pass over rivulets.

    After this, the tour will take you to the village of Dawki on the very border of India and Bangladesh. Famous for the crystal clear waters of Umngot River, where you can choose to get an experience of boating.

    Return to Shillong and check-in to your hotel.

    Overnight at hotel.

  • Day 5 - Shillong to Guwahati | Departure from Guwahati

    After breakfast in Shillong, you will be taking a transfer to the airport/railway station in Guwahati for your return journey, bringing the experience to an end.
