WhistlerWhistler is only a two hour drive from Vancouver. It is the prominent ski resort in Canada and has always been the most favored winter sports area here. Ottawa's Parliament HillStanding tall above the Ottawa River, the Ottawa's Parliament Hill is in existence since the 19th century. These Parliament buildings are built in the Neo-Gothic style. The most striking feature here is the Peace Tower which divides the Senate and the House of Commons on the either side. Taking a lovely walk along the Ottawa river is an important thing to do here.
St. John's Signal Hill National Historic SiteOverlooking the sea and the city, towards the entrance to the St. John's harbor is the magnificent Signal Hill National Historic Site. In the year 1901, the first wireless transatlantic signal was received. This attraction also played a significant role in the Seven Years war against France. The current fortifications that can be seen here were built during the 1800s.
One prominent place to see here is the Cabot Tower. Built in the year 1897, the place marks the 400th anniversary of the discovery of Newfoundland. Right from the top of the tower, you can get panoramic views of the city. You can see the coast as far as the Cape Spear which is the eastern most point of North America.
