Things to Do in Johor Bahru

Rawa Island
Rawa Island is known for its amazing coral reefs, which makes it a sought-after scuba diving destination. It was a lesser-explored beach in the earlier years; however, due to heavy word of mouth advertising, people from all over Malaysia and Singapore have started visiting this place for adventure water sports activities.

Highlights – Unspoilt beauty, white sandy beaches, lively corals, clear waters and exotic marine life are some of the major features of this island. White doves (Rawa in local dialect), reptiles, sea eagles, jellyfishes, octopuses, squids, Blacktip reef sharks etc. are some species that you can spot here. The island can be reached by ferries from Mersing daily. Enjoy scuba diving, snorkelling, swimming, beach volleyball, windsurfing, sailing, fishing, canoeing and sunbathing here.



Location – about half an hour’s drive from Mersing district in Johar.

Timings – April to October.

Price – No permit fee; however course fees varies based on the activities.
Genting Highlands Theme Park

Genting Highlands is one of the reputed names in the hospitality and theme park industry in the world. It has been in this business for close to half a century, which explains the top quality found in the rides and activities here.

Hello Kitty Town At Puteri Harbor
This is the perfect place where you can take your kids to, as the excitement and thrill that they get when they see the Hello Kitty based themes is just priceless. A host of attractions and interactive rides welcome you at the Hello Kitty Theme Park. Though its origins are in Japan, this is the first theme park of this group outside its native ground.

Little Big Club At Puteri Harbor
Located on the second and third floors of Puteri Harbour, Little Big Club is one of the reputed indoor theme parks in Malaysia, apt for kids who love to see their favourite TV characters here.



Highlights
– This is part of the huge Puteri Harbour Indoor Theme Park. Kids go crazy when they see their TV characters live here performing some dance moves and entertaining activities.

– Puteri Harbour.

Activities
– Angelina Ballerina dancing classes, live dance show of Barney, ride on the very much loved Thomas & Friends, tour around Pingu’s Igloo, help Bob build a house at Bob the Builder segment, ride on Bertie the bus and many more.

Angry Birds Activity Park
Angry Birds Activity Park is an indoor park that is spread over an area of 26,000 sq. ft. It is strategically located in the campus of KOMTAR JBCC.

Highlights:
Ever since the launch of Angry Birds game in the December of 2009, it has garnered as many as 2.5 billion downloads all round the world. Now, Angry Birds has finally come alive with the Angry Birds Activity Park. It is the Johor Bahru City Centre's newest premier entertainment, dining and shopping destination. This state of the art theme park lures kids and adults alike. It is easily accessible and brings forth an array of fun attractions and activities.

LEGOLAND excursions r good n enjoyable. However, the staff was slow and lethargic. There was a scarcity of staff . Sum rides were managed by single persons. Same person was taking care of in n out as well as running d ride. So that V needed to wait for long at every ride inspite of a little que. so ... Read More
