Step into the serene world of Pari Mahal, located at the top of the Zabarwan Mountain in Kashmir. Built by Dara Shikoh, it is also known as the 'Abode of Fairies.' Pari Mahal combines Mughal architecture with mesmerising views of Dal Lake. The mahal (palace) is a symbol of history and beauty, offering a peaceful escape. Its lush gardens and Islamic designs offer a glimpse into a royal past. A visit here is not just a walk through the gardens but a journey back in time.

Pari Mahal is nestled atop the Zabarwan Mountains and is also known as the 'Palace of Fairies.' It overlooks the picturesque city of Srinagar and the serene Dal Lake. This historical marvel was built by Dara Shikoh, the eldest son of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. It is famous for its rich Islamic architecture. Here, you can witness age-old arched entrances and intricately designed terraced gardens. The garden used to initially serve as a Buddhist monastery. It later transformed into an observatory and school of astrology in the mid-1600s.

Today, Pari Mahal is an attraction that offers a vibrant blend of history and nature. It is managed by the Archaeological Survey of India. Pari Mahal also attracts a lot of visitors, who come here to see the lush gardens that are filled with exotic plants. Its legacy is intertwined with tales of princes and fairies, which adds to the charm of the attraction. All of this makes Pari Mahal a vital piece of Srinagar's cultural and historical landscape. Located near attractions like Chashme Shahi Gardens, it is truly a peaceful haven. It is here at Pari Mahal where you can catch glimpses into the past amidst the natural beauty of Kashmir.
